The Pintail 43 comes stock and decked out in the best in longboarding components and is ready to accept any performance upgrades you throw in its way. Rough road? Get some bigger wheels. Speed a priority? Performance bearings are what you need. Planning on the biggest hills? Time for some Original S10, 250mm, trucks. Its gonna be what you need to get through your week.

All Hands on Deck

Like others in Original’s wood board line, the Pintail 43 starts with sustainably harvested, hard maple, veneers. This deck utilizes 9 plys of choice timber to achieve a flex perfect for heavier riders, or those looking for a stiffer board. Featuring “Left Behind the Wall” by Jay Alders on the bottom of the deck, this board will be sure to make a statement.

Minimalistic Simplicity.

Simple can be good. The mild concave and lack of camber strip this deck down to its bare essentials. Beginners will find their groove on the 43 with deceptive ease while advanced riders looking for speed, will enjoy the stability the stiffer board offers up.

Limbo Low

Like its kin, the Pintail 43 is mounted without risers to drop the deck low. The 43 is lower then most drop through decks in fact. Low deck height means pushing ease for longer distances. If your goal is to get from point A to point B with the least effort, the Pintail 43 can help get you there in style.

When performance is the main priority, upgrading your longboard bearings is the way to go. If your bombing down Broadway, pushing around Buccleuch Park, or trying to oust Brian Bishop in the Beantown Push-Bomb having the best bearings will ensure your place at the top of the podium.

Triple Overhead

The Pintail 43 comes standard with Original S8, 200mm, carving trucks. If you know your going to be out looking for the macking swell, then you might want to consider upgrading to the big Original S10, 250mm, trucks. Wider trucks paired with a stiffer board result in more control at higher speed. Slap in the red (medium tension), or white (heavy tension) springs for ultimate speed performance.

Clearance Special

With routed wheel wells, the Pintail 43 has wheel clearance to accommodate a variety of upgrade options. You can stick to the standard 70mm wheels, or move on up to something more suited to your style. You can afford to be choosy when you have so many options from the industries top longboard wheel brands to choose from.

    I HIGHLY recommend this 43 pintail longboard to anyone looking for a nice board to cruise around or carving. I wasn’t really into carving, but my intension for this board was to cruise around my college campus. My previous board gave me trucks/wheels noises, wood start to deform and grip tape kept ripping. After weeks of research, I decided to invest in a pintail 43 longboard from original skateboard. I ordered it Monday and received it 4 days later on Friday, and immediately took the board out for a spin. The board really shock me, I was able to adjust after 5-10 minutes of riding the board. I started to realize how much more balance and stability the board offered me. The trucks turned so smoothly, and the amount of control I have over the board was break taking. This board is so much more better compared to my old bushing boards. I took also took it for a quick down hill ride in the parking garage, and I can now understand why these trucks are made for carving. Not only does the board look nice, but the quality in the trucks and design/artwork was above and beyond any longboard I have ever owned. I will definitely be purchasing more boards from Original Skateboards.

    This board is awesome! I’ve had a lot of fun on it and it definitely is an understated board. Tight turns? No problem. The trucks are super turny, a bit twitchy at times though. If you’re looking for a long lasting and fun board, this is the one!

    I recently purchased a Pintail 43 (Alders edition) and I have to say it has been a wonderful experience so far. I had toyed with the idea of adding a pintail to my quiver and started to research them. I discovered the Original models and their trucks and was intrigued. My decision was made easier by the wonderful staff in customer support. That “Rider Support” button at the bottom…..I highly recommend that the reader use this. Ashley, Neena, Donny and others have been incredibly helpful……before and after my purchase. I knew I wanted the 43 pintail but wasn’t sure about the trucks. People seem to either love them or hate them (more on that later). I got talked into going with the Original s8s. My thinking was that if I didn’t like them, down the line, I’d replace them with my Bears. The board arrived (with it’s beautiful graphic) and I started road testing it and putting it through it’s paces. It surprised me. I was using the black springs (I weigh 170) and thought I’d be immediately replacing them with reds (in fact, I ordered the reds for that eventuality). Well, this board and those trucks really surprised me. It was far more stable than I thought it would be and was indeed….turny (which I like). I did however, expect it to turn tight radius turns effortlessly (but that part was lacking). I watched the videos produced by Original and they suggested keeping the cams 1/8 inch above the base plate. Mine came flush. So, with encouragement from Ashley, I loosened them to that point. incredible. Huge difference. Ripping tight radius turns with no effort. This afternoon, I put the reds on there to compare (running them loose). And loved them too. In fact, I’m going to leave them on there for awhile because, so far, I’m liking the extra feeling of stability they offer (yet still pulling tight turns. I got this board basically to have another board to keep me entertained on my hill. But I have to say……it moved up my list today as the most sheer fun board I have to ride. I’m convinced that some of the folks who review the trucks and hate them have not spent enough time to tweak them and ride them. They may not last as long as my bushing trucks, but……what a blast. Long boarding is a very individual thing. Everyone has their preferences for what they like in boards, trucks and setups. For my riding style and (most importantly) the hill I ride everyday in front of my house, this board is perfect. I love carving and a surfy feel. I don’t do downhill at speed. So, if that’s how you ride, I strongly suggest considering this board and most definitely, have some chats with this wonderful staff.
